Pharmadule, the world leader in high-tech modular facilities for the pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical industries, has been selected by JSC Bioran for the design and construction of a biopharmaceutical production facility in Pushchino, Moscow region.
The initial order amounts to 27 MSEK and covers the basic design of JSC Bioran´s new multipurpose biotechnological facility for production of biopharmaceutical products. One of the products to be manufactured in the new facility is recombinant human insulin. The project is supported by the Moscow region government and the Russian Academy of Sciences.

About JSC Bioran
JCS Bioran was founded in June 2006 as a biotech company aiming to fulfil the project for design and construction of a new multipurpose biotechnological facility. This project is supported by the Moscow region government and the Russian Academy of Sciences.
In 2011 Bioran’s new facility in Pushchino, Moscow region, will be completed and started up. The facility will initially produce human insulin (bulk and fill-finish) but production technologies for other biotechnological products will also be developed.
The process technology for the human insulin was developed by the Institute o Bioorganic Chemistry, named after M.M. Shemyakhin and Y.A. Ovchinnikhov, with the Russian Academy of Sciences, and transferred to JSC Bioran under a licence agreement.
For the moment the company has completed the conceptual design of the plant and the construction of the infrastructure communications on the site in Pushchino.
The new plant in Pushchino is designed to become the most state-of-the-art biotechnological production facility in Russia, capable to manufacture several biotechnological products.
Realization of this project will considerably reduce the Russian dependence on import of biopharmaceutical products.
